A new addition to its "Mekikies services" of collecting, surveying and analyzing IT-related information
NTT Advanced Technology Corporation (hereafter referred to as NTT-AT, headquartered in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Kimio Tazaki) offers "Mekikies (a Japanese word meaning discerning people) services": services of collecting, surveying and analyzing IT-related information. The company has recently added the service of having its specialists accompany IT-related overseas survey tours by Japanese corporations, as well as the service of surveying and analyzing IT markets and technology trends in Japan for companies abroad. In addition, by targeting overseas offices of Japanese companies, NTT-AT will begin to provide a customized reporting service, which includes the collection of the latest IT-related information about Japan, and evaluation of business feasibility in the Japanese market.
These services are provided by NTT-AT's wide array of technology analysts, who are engaged in the existing Mekikies services of collecting, surveying and analyzing IT-related information, in cooperation with the staff at its U.S. office, located in Silicon Valley, California.

Background and history
Since 1998, NTT-AT has been offering Mekikies services of collecting, analyzing and evaluating IT-related information. Its team of specialists, including engineers active in the front lines, carries out this effort by exploiting the company's advanced know-how and information base. The services have earned a reputation for high quality. They have been constantly evolved and fine-tuned to respond to the diverse and specific needs of customers. Recently, customers have been voicing needs for new services, in which the overall activities of their own overseas survey staff are supported by IT specialists. Also, foreign companies and overseas offices of Japanese companies are increasingly looking for opportunities to use Mekikies' high-quality information collection, analysis and evaluation services. In light of these needs, NTT-AT has developed global survey and analysis support services as the anxiously awaited new additions to its profile of Mekikies services. What is offered in these services
- Accompanying and supporting overseas survey tours
NTT-AT's technology analysts, who are well-versed in the latest IT developments, will accompany overseas survey tours of its customer companies. An advantage of the service is that a preliminary survey, including exhaustive hearings, is carried out in Japan prior to departure so that it is possible to plan an efficient survey tour. This preparation will avoid the unnecessary, wasteful collection of information at the visited sites, which is likely on high-tech tours organized by travel agencies. The main target area covered by this service is Silicon Valley in the U.S.
