November 5, 2002 NTT-AT provides 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year operation and maintenance for network services

NTT-AT has established an "Operation and Maintenance Center" for this service. The staff in the center, with NTT-AT employees as core members, supervise network services around the clock. On November 1, the staff of the Center began provision of an operation and maintenance service for video network services requiring extremely high reliability, such as Arcstar InternetFAX*1 provided by NTT Communications (hereafter referred to as NTT Com, headquartered in Chiyoda-ku Tokyo, Japan; President Masanobu Suzuki).
The Operation and Maintenance Center will mainly support carrier-provided services but will expand its business by targeting a wide range of network services in different industries.
[Background and history]
As a member of the NTT group, NTT-AT has nurtured high-level technical expertise, and has successfully exploited it in many consultation and system integration businesses for large-scale network services. Recently, as a result of rapid progress in Internet technology, enterprise network services have not been limited to those relying on leased lines, and services employing IP technology are expanding. Under these circumstances, assuring high operational reliability for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year has become a critical issue for service providers. In response to this development, NTT-AT has established a round-the-clock operation and maintenance center at its site in Higashitotsuka, Kanagawa. The center will provide a highly reliable and high-quality operation and maintenance service that will meet the latest needs of enterprises using IP technology. The establishment of the center marks a new step for NTT-AT towards becoming a comprehensive network service provider, offering total support, from technical consultation to actual operation of network services.

The following services are provided, in principle on a 24-hous-a-day, 365-days-a-year basis:
