Design Technology for Type MU Fiberoptic Connector Plug, Adapter and Receptacle
The Type MU Connector features a 1.25mm diameter ferrule, and a push-pull coupling mechanism. It has advantages such as a compact, high-density package, and is roughly one-quarter the size of conventional fiberoptic connectors. Furthermore, because it has been designed for use in both plug-adapter-plug connector systems and backplane connector systems, a wide range of applications are possible.
