Design Technology for Type MU Fiberoptic BackPlane Connector System
The Type MU fiberoptic backplane connector has been designed for interconnecting between backplanes and printed circuit boards. A push-pull coupling mechanism makes it possible to realize a compact, high-density packaging, at roughly one quarter the size of conventional fiberoptic connectors, It comprises plugs, backplane-housings and printed circuit board housings. The main feature is a self-locking and pressure free mechanism by which no load is applied on a backplane while coupling is completed.
