Fiber Coating Stripper

Features

It provides almost the same workability as the conventional metallic wire coating remover. It is especially useful for removing the coating of 250µm outer diameter coated fibers when they are applied to fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and connectors. Working outdoors and on premises is capable.

  1. The frequency of blade cleaning needed is remarkably reduced, since coating remains do not pile on the V-blades.
  2. Only the coating is removed, without scratching the surface of the bare fiber, since the gap of closed V-blades is precisely adjusted.
  3. It is able to remove the coating by the usual length of 30mm by a single pulling operation and is capable of stripping more than 30mm.
  4. The fiber is easily guided onto the V-blades, since the V-blade portion is widely opened.
  5. Durability : 10,000 times.

Nipper Type
Length : 140mm
Weight : 90g
Material : High-grade steel alloy (V-blade)

Removing Procedure

  1. Place the coated fiber between the pair of V-blades.
  2. Grip the levers so that the fiber axis is perpendicular to the V-blade surface and nip the fiber by closing the levers.
  3. Remove the coating of the fiber by pulling the fiber straight.
  4. Wipe off the coating remains on the surface of the bare fiber by using alcohol, etc.
