Simplified Type SC fiberoptic Receptacles
The simplified type SC fiberoptic receptacles can be attached to the fiber pigtails of optical modules and can be connected with type SC fiberoptic plugs. The number of parts for the simplified SC receptacle reduces to 5 compared with 13 parts of a conventional type SC plug and adapter.
The simple structure allows low-cost optical connections.
The simplified SC receptacles have the same optical characteristics as conventional type SC fiberoptic connectors.
Three types of simplified SC receptacles have been fabricated; Simplex type, Duplex Type, and an 8 port type
