Electromagnetic noise and interference (EMI) from external sources can adversely effect the stable operation of communications equipment. And as communication devices achieve higher performance and greater compactness, more innovative solutions are required to meet standards for protecting against EMI.
NTT developed NoiseBEAT tape, which employs special magnetic alloy films, to provide reliable EMI noise reduction.
Until recently, ferrite cores were widely used to counteract cable noise. However, ferrite core cables often having large diameters and masses of several tens of grams can only be employed in limited applications.
NoiseBEAT tape, on the other hand, features layers of magnetic film possessing high electromagnetic wave absorption properties.
Since this thin, lightweight tape is just 60 µm thick and weighs less than 4 g/m (non -aluminum type), it can be wrapped inside the cable.
As a result, NoiseBEAT cables are not bulky and offer a superior approach to solving the problems of EMI.
NoiseBEAT also allows you to develop lighter, more compact devices, and lets you make devices that require large number of cables less cumbersome.
