Optical Adhesives

Features

These products have been developed by NTT Laboratories for use with optical components.

The adhesive technology used in optical communication is one of the key technologies we offer. In order to produce low-cost and highly reliable optical components, an easy-to-use, durable adhesive is necessary. Requirements for an optical adhesive vary depending on where the adhesive is applied. We develop and market adhesives and adhesive resins to meet the customer's specific needs for refractive index adjustment, precise fixing, heat-resistance with high elasticity, low moisture permeability and others.

Specifications

UV-curable adhesives (one-component epoxy type)

Precision adhesive Standard type AT4291A Low shrinkage during curing and low thermal expansion coefficient with excellent transparency.
Transparent type AT9290F Large curing depth. Low shrinkage during curing (1 - 2%) and low thermal expansion coefficient.
Heat-resisting adhesive AT3925M Provides a glass-transition temperature of more than 200°C.
Hard and transparent
Optical adhesive for connecting optical waveguide Adjustable refractive index Refractive index can be adjusted to the value specified by the customer providing excellent transparency.
Adhesive for assembly of arrays AT9390 Allows machine-abrasion. Highly durable.
Adhesive for fixing fibers AT9575M Highly durable. Non-fluid

UV-curable adhesives (one-component acrylate type)

Highly moisture-resistant optical adhesive for light path connection AT6001 Moisture resistance levels comply with Teclordia testing standards.
Provides excellent transparency and flexibility (Tg is as low as -3°C).
AT8224 Moisture resistance levels comply with Teclordia testing standards.
Excellent transparency. Tg = approx. 100°C.
Adhesive for optical component assembly AT6177 High viscosity. Tg = approx. 100°C. Excellent transparency. nD = 1.51.
Adhesive for fixing fibers AT8105 Highly durable. Non-fluid

UV-curable resins (one-component epoxy type, acrylate type)

Light guide forming resin Refractive index adjustable nD = 1.43 to 1.62 (epoxy type), 1.42 to 1.70 (acrylic type). Viscosity adjustable (easy control of spin coat thickness)

Room temperature curing type sealants (two-component epoxy type)

Sealant for optical components S3903, S3903-5, OS-39 Flexible moisture-proof sealant. Paste format.
14SI, 14SI-3, OS-14 Highly moisture-proof sealant. Paste format. Strong bonding strength.

Made-to-order ultraviolet curing type / heat curing type adhesives / resins and room temperature curing type sealants

Resins, adhesives, sealants Characteristics such as viscosity, Tg, and curing type are adjustable.
